1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration by another journal. Authors must report research findings accurately, provide sufficient methodological information, acknowledge the contributions of other researchers, and cite relevant sources appropriately.

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research. Authors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and funding sources. Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical standards and obtain ethical approval where required.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for managing the review and publication process fairly, objectively, confidentially, and transparently. Editorial decisions should be based on the manuscript's academic quality, originality, relevance, and scholarly contribution, without discrimination based on the author's nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, background, or other personal characteristics.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, constructively, fairly, and confidentially. Reviews should provide clear and academically relevant feedback that can assist authors in improving their manuscripts.

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline a review assignment when they are unable to provide an impartial assessment. Unpublished information obtained during peer review must not be used for personal or professional purposes.

4. Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct

JETE does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate or redundant publication, data manipulation, inappropriate citation practices, or other forms of academic misconduct.

Submitted manuscripts may be screened using appropriate plagiarism-detection tools. When academic misconduct is suspected or confirmed, JETE will conduct an appropriate investigation and may take corrective action, including manuscript rejection, publication of a correction, article retraction, notification of the author's affiliated institution, or other measures as deemed appropriate.

5. Authorship and Contribution

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, implementation, analysis, or interpretation of the research and who have participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript.

All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission and publication. Any changes to authorship after submission must be properly justified and approved by all affected authors.

6. Conflict of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could potentially influence the research or publication process.

All potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed transparently to maintain the integrity, credibility, and objectivity of the scholarly publication process.

7. Corrections and Retractions

JETE is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record. When significant errors are identified after publication, the journal may publish a correction, clarification, or other appropriate notice.

An article may be retracted when there is clear evidence of serious errors, plagiarism, research misconduct, unethical research practices, or other circumstances that substantially compromise the validity or integrity of the published work.

8. Ethical Treatment of Research Participants

Research involving human participants, personal data, or other ethically sensitive subjects must comply with applicable ethical standards, regulations, and institutional requirements.

Authors are responsible for obtaining informed consent and ethical approval when required by the nature of the research. Authors should ensure that the rights, privacy, safety, and dignity of research participants are appropriately protected.

9. Data and Research Transparency

Authors are encouraged to maintain complete and accurate research records and, where ethically, legally, and practically appropriate, provide access to supporting data, research instruments, or other relevant materials.

Research data must not be fabricated, falsified, manipulated, or selectively reported in a manner that could misrepresent the research findings.

10. Editorial Independence

JETE maintains editorial independence in the evaluation and publication of manuscripts. Editorial decisions must not be influenced by commercial interests, institutional affiliations, funding sources, personal relationships, or other external pressures.
